Girlfriend has an old system (Win98 vintage) that will be out
the door soon. She wants to destroy client files on there.
I'd just as soon not wipe the drive, just the files. I don't
know if she still has the installation CD's or not. I know
it is largely a piece of trash, but still might be useful to
someone. It would demonstrate it does work, etc. I know that
there used to be a pair of programs wipedisk/wipefile that
would securely erase the disk/file. Are those still available?
www.download.com and www.tucows.com don't seem to have anything.

I have copied a CD's worth of MP3 I plan to copy in places to
make it impossible to get anything back. (copy CD's till
slack space is full and wipe MP3 files, wipe client files,
fill disk again with more MP3 files and wipe again, etc.) but
if the only sure way is to whack the drive, well okay. BTW,
in doing some clean up, I came across a 1GB disk drive. I'm
looking for a museum (no not a full height drive, less than
half height..).
