<Does anyone know of a way to get a handle on what svchost.exe is running?>
Get Process Explorer, if you don't already have it: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/SystemInformation/ProcessExplorer.mspx Run it. Right-click the instance of svchost that's using all your CPUs. Click Properties. Open the Services tab. That's what it's running. Don't be surprised if it's Windows Update. ************************************************************************ * ==> QUICK LIST-COMMAND REFERENCE - Put the following commands in <== * ==> the body of an email & send 'em to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <== * Join the list: SUBSCRIBE COMPUTERGUYS-L Your Name * Too much mail?
