I previously asked for help regarding a Dell computer which had its fan
running very high. And I got lots of replies. Thanks - much
appreciated. The computer was fairly clean, not too much in the way of
dust accumulation. The problem was the office it sits in was just too
warm. The a/c in that part of the building was malfunctioning causing
the overheating. Once the a/c was fixed, the fan noise went down though
it's still noticeable. I tried to use one of those nifty cpu
monitoring utilities for heat but I guess the motherboard doesn't
support that function.
