Don't know what the Mac programs really are, but for backing up data files (not for cloning / imaging a hard drive) Karen's "Replicator" (http://www.karenware.com/) is good for small and medium jobs and is free. For large jobs, SyncBackSE (http://www.2brightsparks.com/) is more efficient and will take less time to perform a job.
