1. How do you know it was the version you thought you trashed? - It offered to re-open tabs from my last session and my bookmarks didn't need to be imported.
2. Weren't you installing the same version anyway (presumably the most recent, 2.0.0.5)? - Same version. I was hoping that with a new program installation it would be like installing FF for the first time. 3. You are probably confusing the profile or configuration with the software. You can change the Firefox software and keep the same profile, with the same plugins, bookmarks, history, etc. - I was.
