One thing I've noticed on my computer is that a lot of programs are
running in the background, some of which do not need to be running.
Question...can you direct me to a good source so I can figure out
what some of these things are and put an end to the things that do
not need to run? Is there a good program (inexpensive or free)
that can make the adjustments and close down those things which do
not need to be ru
I'd like to know that for OSX. I can turn them off temporarily with
Activity Monitor but they start up again when I reboot. ANd I have
some things that I installed that aren't in Applications folder so I
can't get rid of them. How do I find those? I installed a MailTags
app that opens when I open Mail. I tried it, don't need it but can't
get rid of it.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather
to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body
thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a
ride!" Have a wonderful day!
