IPhoto has a pecular mind set because it was designed for a user that knows nothing about computers. Apple tried to make it idiot proof, but the consequence for someone who expects a computer to act like a computer is a tough adjustment. Foremost, iPhoto is designed so that the you can always return to your original photo. Non-destructive editing. Tough for those of us who cut out teeth on destructive computing.
