I'm not a professional user, consequently I don't want to spend big
bucks. I asked the list some time ago about binding text to a curve
in AppleWorks, and several people did respond, but their suggestions
didn't work out for me. Then I remembered Canvas 5. Yes, 5. I
purchased it years ago after Deneba assured me it would run on my Mac
Performa 450. It fired up but didn't run. So now these many years
later, I remembered it and installed it under Classic in my iMac G5
2GHz, running OS 10. There were some problems with it, but I did get
my job done, which was to create a seal, with text in a circle.
I had heard that there were problem with v.10, plus it's expensive.
When I read, version 11 at $100, I thought, "Yes, I'll buy it!", only
to read further that it was for Windows only.
I don't know what happened to Deneba, nor do I know anything about ADCSee.
AppleWorks is going away, being replaced by iWorks. I hope that it
can bind text to ac curve!
I've used Canvas on and off, trying new versions over the years.
Version 2 was good for the magazine/newspaper work I did until I got
Aldus PageMaker, which was significantly better. Canvas has too many
problems to be reliable for high quality color printing. I need
WYSIWYG; there's no time to clean up program errors. I suspect that
few Mac professionals use Canvas; the Mac customer base has been
shrinking for a long time. The last time I tested Canvas, it
couldn't do a lot of the things I needed, and the output was full of
errors.
As user-hostile, and expensive as it is, Quark XPress works very
well and doesn't need to be cleaned up. Neither does Adobe InDesign.
I use mostly InDesign, but would buy QXP7 if I were still working
full time, especially if it still has command-shift-option-k delete
space-alien. Try InDesign. Or if you hate InDesign's annoying
Illustrator-like interface, Pages might be all you need. Scribus?
Multi-Ad Creator?
How do you use Canvas? What are your needs? Are you ready for
something new, or is v.10 OK? Who is ADCSee? What happened to
Deneba? Why doesn't their search engine work?...
If you do architectural or scientific drawings, there are other
choices, http://www.architosh.com/.

I'm a registered user, and a Mac owner, and I was about to pony up
my 100 bucks, when I read:
"Canvas 11 is available for Windows only."
I don't understand this. With the increasing popularity of the Mac,
and (my assumption) that's it's not that difficult to port a
Win-intel version to a Mac-intel, why are you doing this? Why are
you throwing away your Mac customers?
