I turned off the firewall and the site loads.

In System Preferences/Sharing/Firewall/Advanced.../Enable Firewall Logging/Open Log, what does this logged item mean: Aug 26 23:46:02 bettys-Computer ipfw: 12190 Deny TCP 74.53.68.130 192.168.1.46 in via en0 (frag 32773:[EMAIL PROTECTED])

Why is it targeting port 12190? Which item in my firewall is blocking the site? It also appears to want me to open port 80 for incoming--bad idea. These are techs. What's going on? Thx

I just tried it and after retrying it now works on a Mac with Safari
and Firefox as well as a PC with IE and Firefox. -Andy

Can anyone load this site on a Mac in any browser,
http://ask.metafilter.com/ ? I had to use Windows just to look up
information to repair a Mac! [please look at the page code and let
me know why that site doesn't load--thx-- ><> ]
