If you have a lot of idle time and are looking for something that will make it appear that you are busy and productive then go with the IBM server. Otherwise go with a hosting service. I presently favor 1and1.com. Such services offer bunches of software in their service bundles that you can use for implementing many cool services. With a bare server you will waste a lot of time just getting such services up and running. For example, for sharing files. I set up WebDAV sharing at 1and1.com in less than 10 minutes. Works great. Is included in a beefy package for just $10/month. ************************************************************************ * ==> QUICK LIST-COMMAND REFERENCE - Put the following commands in <== * ==> the body of an email & send 'em to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <== * Join the list: SUBSCRIBE COMPUTERGUYS-L Your Name * Too much mail?
