I like www.memoryx.net they seem to have a good balance
between price and quality.
If I purchase the very cheapest memory, I find that it often
fails to work properly. Thus wasting my TIME and the time of my
customers, and I end up looking like I do not know
my profession.
If you are a reseller, or purchase RAM frequently, MemoryX
will grant you a very nice discount. I am not sure what exactly
you must do to prove your status, but I guess in my case,
they just looked at my past buying trends and allowed me to
be in that "reseller" category.

So where would you recommend buying memory, instead of getting it
from Crucial?

Crucial shows a 2GB kit (two 1GB cards) of DDR PC2-4200 memory at
$89.99
(plus tax & shipping) so it looks like your shop is taking you to
the
cleaners.
And I think Crucial is overpriced so you are getting a double
cleaning.
