I was looking for cool apple names on the web. Banana and Apple go together way back for those of us who read Bloom County religiously.
According to this web page <http://www.allaboutapples.com/varieties/var_w2.htm#winterbanana> Winter Banana actually does smell like banana. It is a September- October fruit from these people and could presumably be ordered but who knows how well it travels. <http://www.prevedelli.com/varieties.htm> I found an orchard in Virginia near Monticello that grows them but I'll leave it up to you to google for some place near by to you. <http://www.vintagevirginiaapples.com/index.html> On 9/27/07, Constance Warner <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Winter Banana?
