I was a bit hasty in buying into the analogy (your analogy, though not
blaming you) of a fan site in this case. The more I thought about it, the
more dissimilar it would seem from a traditional fan site for a celebrity,
including the motivations for setting up the site and the work in keeping it
up. I don't think of myself as a "fan" and don't think of her in terms of
being a celebrity. Even if I gave her the site as a sort of surprise gift,
she would then have the burden of keeping it up if she decided to keep it.
If she didn't want to keep it up, any who tried to contact her via the site
might end up disappointed when they got no response.
So, all-in-all, doesn't seem to make much sense for me to create any site
with her name. Hopefully, she will at some point see the benefit in doing
so for herself. I just hope she doesn't mind too much when I tell her I've
registered her name and offer to give it to her.

Mystery Person's field, why not do a website about that particular
health problem, with links to some of her publications or articles about
her on Oprah? You'll want to use the proper disclaimers, of course, to
be legally safe yourself. But a person's image is valuable--the Mystery
Person's image is valuable--and it can be easily damaged and used up.
To use someone else's image, even in a good cause, is to take something
that isn't really yours and that can damage that other person--and that
can get in the way of any good that they may have been able to do.
Wise advice.
On the "fan" site you might do best by keeping it brief: official bio,
list of future appearances, list of publications (with links as
available), links to related sites (including the one Constance just
described.)
That would get someone searching on her name the basics to avoid the long
search you went through. It would also reduce the volume of calls to her
school.
