About the only difference I see in this respect is the size of the icons vs the
big XP buttons. When you click on the XP button it produces a list of the
program's windows. When you right click on the Dock's icon it produces a list
of the program's windows. I say "same difference."

I do like that I can hide windows by clicking on the XP button for a currently
visible window. On the Mac I must type command-h or right click on the Dock's
icon to select "Hide." I give a slight edge to XP here.

On the other hand XP does not have Exposé. When I squeeze my Mighty Mouse or
press F-9 or F-10 I get to see an overview. XP has nothing to touch that.

The Mac's F-11 takes me to the desktop. I like that better than the desktop
icon in XP's quick-launch bar.

Neither knows anout tabs within windows. I hope that gets fixed soon.

So for "multiple programs with multiple windows open for days" I would give a
slight edge to the Mac.

The Mac's sidebar also greatly speeds file navigation. XP does not have
anything like this.
