First, I apologize for not having done due diligence with Google.
I almost always spend time there first; but just thought this capability
was too off the wall. Just goes to show that if you can think of it, it probably has been done!!

Looks like the Roku Soundbridge M1000 is perfect for my requirements. I can configure the stations with my system before taking to mom. Now I need to find out if her building will have WiFi and/or broadband.

Thanks, Wayne

Steve

My mom is moving and losing reception to her favorite FM
classical radio station. This station (WQXR in NY area)
does audio stream and I can get it through iTunes.

I doubt my mom can handle a PC, so I am wondering if
anyone has heard of a dedicated electronics device that
can accept either WiFi or Ethernet input and deliver
audio output. There would need to be a way to program
the URL for the audio stream(s).

I remember hearing a podcast talk about these kind of devices,
so I knew they existed. I searched google for "internet radio
devices" and got amongst others:
http://www.rokulabs.com/
http://www.slimdevices.com/
http://radio.about.com/od/homepersonalcomputers/a/bldlinkwireless.htm

The list goes on and on.
