Some people do, some people don't. I track the used market fairly closely and I continue to be surprised at how strongly Macs hold their value. Macs often seem to defy gravity. Even after a new model ships, the prices of older models often does not budge as much as it should. Many times I have recommended buying a new Mac over a used Mac because I calculated that the price of the used Mac was too high vs. the new Mac. So for those who want to turn over their Macs frequently there is a lot of value that can be recaptured and this does reduce the cost of ownership. Those who keep their Macs until they are useless will be able to hold onto them far longer than they could hold onto a PC. That also lowers the TCO. Even a 5 year old Mac still retains some resale value. Someone with a 5 year old PC will have to pay somebody to cart it away. ************************************************************************ * ==> QUICK LIST-COMMAND REFERENCE - Put the following commands in <== * ==> the body of an email & send 'em to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <== * Join the list: SUBSCRIBE COMPUTERGUYS-L Your Name * Too much mail?
