Better because there is not other noise to interfere with the call.
I have a slight hearing loss (Frequencies not amount) and have a real
problem with distinguishing noise and sound.
Blue Tooth headphones (I have used three total) help me a lot. I
have had no problem hearing and no problem with people not hearing me.
I have the Ativa, BT 210 (Office Depot) and a Plantronics Voyager BT
510. I also had a Jabra but the dog got that one.
I like the feel of the Plantronics best (I have seen some on sale at
www.mwave.com) It has a foam padded ear piece and is slim and fits
around the ear with a longer boom mike.

Thanks. Cell phone company couldn't give me a straight answer so
I'll try this. Is your sound quality as good as if just using the
phone or with a regular headpiece?

Usually look up the model and see if it has a compatibility list.
I bought an Office Depot model (Ativa Office Depot store brand for
cheap) and it works fine.

Recently got a bluetooth compatible cellphone, but have never had
blue tooth. Notice that Staples has a sale on a blue tooth device
- regular price $40 or so, now on sale for appx. $14. Going buy
Staples today am thinking of getting this, even with their
ridiculous 14 return policy. Before I do, a few questions: are
all these bluetooth devices compatible with any cellphones? Are
there differences in quality (including sound quality - was
talking to friend recently who was using bluetooth and he sounded
like he had hot potatoes in his mouth) functionality or other
things I should know about? Is this a case of you get what you
pay for? At the moment I can't afford to pay $40 or more for
bluetooth, so its this or nothing, unless and until I improve my
economic situation, so willing to not let the perfect or even the
good be the enemy of the "will get the job done."
