I was all ready to point you to Snopes.com, but if this is actually true it's one of the wackiest laws I've ever heard of. It would certainly mean I'd have to charge tax if I looked at a computer, but not a washing machine.? I've been in the service industry all my life and we've never charged tax on labor, only parts.
