Tell him to stop what he's downloading illegally and walk away slow. These type of notices seem to be more of the friendly reminder type then get out your checkbook type cause we're going to scare you into paying us lots of cash.
I gave him a link to the public library sites in Maryland and Delaware, also told him about the extra free videos you can get with a Blockbuster or Netflix subscription. It's easier to borrow the media than download p2p.
We hooked up a peecee to our plasma tv last night and watched a streamed movie from Netflix. Not very good resolution on a 42" screen, but very watchable, except for ending credits. Not bad, once I spent OVER AN HOUR getting it to work in Windows Vista. Doesn't work on Macs since it's proprietary to Windows. Sigh... [I'm sure if it worked in Mac OS X, the picture would be much better]
Then I suggested searching for more information about these notices through Dogpile.com.
