I agree with Tom that HIS.com is great (if a bit pricey). We've used them since 1996 and they are a terrific, reliable, local company, with good phone and email support.

I've tried 1and1 and they are also good. I have dropped them in favor of bluehost.com -- they are similar. My experience is bluehost's support is more knowledgeable.
