I use Verizon DSL, so I can't address the service question. As for DSL itself,
I have no complaints - fast (relative to the dial-up modem it replace) and so
far trouble-free (we've been on it for about a year).

Interference with the phone is eliminated by in-line noise filters. Though the
data and voice are carried over the same wires, their transmission
characteristics keep them in effect separate. But without the filters, they
interfere.

My big complaint is inability to use the compute to fax. If anyone has a
workaround, I'm all ears.

I had to call ATT for a question about my phone bill and they talked
me into trying out their DSL internet. It was cheaper than comcast
cable so I agreed to try it out. Does anyone have any experience
with it? Does it really work even if I"m on the phone at the same
time I'm trying to access the 'net? Have they been reliable? I'm
not ditching Comcast until I"m sure it works but I have only 30 days
to cancel before I'm charged $99 for cancelling. If they have a rep
for giving you good service until AFTER the 30 days, I'd like to know.
Thanks!
