Many of you in Maryland know that the tax rate is going up in '08 to
6%. Those of you that don't know: SURPRISE!
I have been tasked with changing the rate in Quickbooks, it's actually
not that hard to do. However Maryland's idea of a 6% tax rate is
different from Quickbooks' (and most normal people [multiply by .06 and
round to the nearest penny]).
For instance: If you follow "The Formula" anything from $4.09 to $4.24
would have a $.25 tax. MD says that $4.01 to $4.16 would have a $.25
tax. The "break points" don't exactly jibe. I know it's never more than
a penny different, but I don't want to cross The Tax Man.
Any way to tweak Quickbooks *without* getting a Mac?

The easy solution my be to use the D.C. Tax rate in the program.
