I have little respect for those who develop software that resuires 1,000 parts to be downloaded from third parties before it will work right. I recently set up Gallery2 for a client with a large photo archive. I had to spend many hours researching, installing, configuring, and testing various graphics libraries to find one that worked adequately for our needs. Some parts of the basic distro were written by idiots. It took months to discover some third party products, never mentioned on the Gallery2 website, that finally made the thing easy to use. Now I have to worry that the third party developers may lose interest and I'll be back on the streets looking for more spare parts. How is the programming service for MythTV? I'm told that it is free so I do not understand the business model. Will it be around for the long haul? Are they out to sell my email address or bank account info to evil doers? What is the catch? ************************************************************************ * ==> QUICK LIST-COMMAND REFERENCE - Put the following commands in <== * ==> the body of an email & send 'em to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <== * Join the list: SUBSCRIBE COMPUTERGUYS-L Your Name * Too much mail?
