You'd need an external USB tuner "card" for that, as well as a video card
with some kind of "out" that can be connected to a TV, if that's the plan.
That could be tricky with a laptop.  Not to mention an IR blaster w/ remote
if this is intended for TV use.

I recently attempted to build a Media Center HTPC with some old parts I had
left over from a recent upgrade.  The motherboard completely fried as soon
as I plugged it into the cable box.  Not sure why.  Grrrr.

It's a AMD64 Socket 754 board, which are getting hard to find.  I hate the
idea of wasting perfectly good CPU and RAM.
