The question was centered around the AMD 2.n chip and older style memory. I had a system with 512 and upgraded to 1.5GB and was pleased with both the performance increase and the price / speed crucial provided.
Not the cheapest by a long shot, but I am confident I will not have to open the crate to *ever* replace it. Just a pc, nothing special, no high end games on it.
