Hugo Chávez is a popular leader, having been elected, then reelected in open--not hacked--elections, and returned to power after BushCo's CIA failed to help overthrow his government. My cousins there don't like him, but still aren't ready to move to the states from Venezuela yet. [thank goodness for the Internets and email.] Chávez isn't looney tunes at all. The only looney tunes are the propaganda noises coming from the White House, mainly because Venezuelans don't like free trade [globalization] over fair trade. Sorry to burst your bubble, but that's the news from Venezuela.
It would be interesting to find out what their laws are regarding privacy on computer networks, considering the bad [wrong] PR they've been getting recently.
