I just got an email from Intuit to let me know that they are dropping suppo.rt for Quicken 2005 as of the end of April. In this case, dropping support means no technical support (which I can do without) and not being able to use some of their online features, and the one that's the killer for me: "Downloading financial data from your bank, credit union, credit card, brokerage, "Downl, or mutual fund accounts" And so I need to send them $70 for an upgrade. I'm finding it galling to have to spend this money really just to get my own data, which I think should really belong to me. What makes it worse, is that they are aparantly going to do this everry 3 years (if not more) and I'll always have to pay whatever they're asking. Does anyone know any program that works more or less like Quicken but without this "feature?" or any wy to work around it? TIA Art Finkelstein
