The last version of itunes I installed (last summer I think) was malware. It took over lots more than it should have without asking me. Perhaps they've fixed that by now.
But now it's nagware. Every week or so I get a desktop popup reminding me to update Quicktime with itunes, and that box is checked by default. Less attentive users would install itunes unintentionally. I don't want to disable the reminder because I *want* to keep Quicktime (without itunes!) updated. There's no reason to force shoppers to use proprietary intrusive software, even if it is free. ************************************************************************* ** List info, subscription management, list rules, archives, privacy ** ** policy, calmness, a member map, and more at http://www.cguys.org/ ** *************************************************************************
