OK, John had a good solution for the previously described problem, but here is one for Firefox affectionatios.
How do you delete unwanted drop-down menu options, in Firefox on a laptop running WinXP? On my desktop computer, I used to hover the cursor over the item (highlight it), then do a shift-delete/right.
