I recently saved a news broadcast onto my laptop and I want to have unwanted
sections trimmed out for my final copy. I used my Hauppauge USB tuner as my
source and the original file is just fine. I loaded the file into
VirtualDub, did my editing, selected compressions (XviD, "Home" profile,
7.99 quantizer for video, Lame MP3, 96kbps CBR for audio) and saved a new
copy. Unfortunately the video is ~10s behind the audio. I thought maybe my
audio rate was too low so I saved it with the audio uncompressed but the
mismatch was still there. I hope someone out there has figured out how to
do this...
