+ Angry mob killed two suspected thieves who were caught
stealing computers from AULOLA Company Limited at
Makumbusho in Dar es Salaam on Sunday. The Kinondoni
Regional Police Commander, (RPC), Mr Jamal Rwambow,
told reporters yesterday that the incident occurred at
                 around 9 am.

He said the suspects whose names could not be
established immediately were caught ready handed by Mr
Erick Mutalemwa (28) as they were stealing the
computers valued at 3,500 US dollars (3.6m/-) from his
                 company premises.

RPC Rwambow said Mr Mutalemwa raised an alarm which
attracted a group of people who caught the suspects
and beat them to death. He said the suspects, who were
using a Toyota Sprinter with registration number T 450
ACF, had allegedly conspired with a security guard of
the company identified by a single name as Hamidu to
                 steal the computers.

Mr Rwambow said the duo was among three people killed
in the district at the weekend. He said the other
person, Rashid Omary (41), a resident of Magomeni
Mapipa, was knocked to death by an unidentified
vehicle along the Morogoro Road on Sunday night. His
body, he said was preserved at the Muhimbili National
                 Hospital.

It's a different world out there...
