Is it really that tough to be polite when there's - in your opinion - insufficient information?
How about instead, asking - "I'm not sure if I follow your question - can you provide more information?" The only attitude that people saw was your own. There was no need to get judgmental in your response. If someone wants to send a CD out with more pictures than you think is appropriate, then why do you feel the need to say so? Was he asking your opinion on that issue? I routinely send out CDs with hundreds of pictures on them. Think that's too many? My clients sure as heck don't. But really, when one has to prepare an answer based on virtually NO information, it's tough to be real 'polite'. The re-phrasing you wrote is only with benefit of the list having dragged _some few_ details out of the OP. In fact, at this point we all know he's probably going about it the wrong way, but everyone's being too polite to actually tell him that. Or maybe just turned off by his attitude. He asked for it.
