The Orphaned Works Act
There is an important piece of legislation being considered right now
that should be very important to US Illustrators and independent
artists. The Orphaned Works Act would require you to create copies of
every piece you've ever created and register it with multiple private
registries, or risk giving up any rights to unregistered work you've
created. This is, of course, a huge shift in copyright, and should
concern every designer, illustrator and design agency.
