I need a technology update. Somebody just asked me about dropping DSL for a T1 line.
Is not T1 old infrastructure that phone vendors are looking to unload on the unwary? I know that T1 is regulated and comes with SLAs (Service Level Agreements), but I think that would have little meaning to most customers and would just make it more expensive than equivalent-speed DSL. Also, is it not true that provisioning and maintaining T1 is more complicated? I see some articles on the web touting T1, but it looks like the web is being salted by carriers who want to sell T1. ************************************************************************* ** List info, subscription management, list rules, archives, privacy ** ** policy, calmness, a member map, and more at http://www.cguys.org/ ** *************************************************************************
