Maybe there's more thefts at the TSA security checkpoints since owners can be more separated from their laptops?
Years ago, when going through a security checkpoint - before there was a TSA - someone "accidentally" picked up my laptop as it got through the x-ray machine before I was able to retrieve it. I saw it and made a fuss. (And yes, it was a PC laptop - a HP Omnibook 600c). Whadda ya mean, much more likely? Who is to say that it is not TSA people who are the culprits, or involved in some way. The study showed that most of the "disappearances" appear to occur at the TSA security checkpoints.
