Forgetting you have no idea what configuration I was looking at...it gives
up .4ghz in cpu speed, doubles the ram, larger screen, larger HD, same
GC...same warranty.

So unless HP knows *I* was looking at their product and put in bad parts,
yeah it's apples to apples or oranges to oranges or laptops to laptops.

And by the way...this HP which sells for less then 1k, is FAR FAR away from
the 'cheapest' HP.  However, that 1199 macbook is the cheapest one for
Apple.  So in point of fact, i was allowing Apple to set cheapest components
while paying more for them.  HP, Toshiba, Asus, Lenova..Apple..they may
solid laptops.
