One of the black hats is from IBM and the other from VMWare so these are 
not basement hackers.

I think this vulnerability fits the Microsoft MO: a huge security 
structure built on an insecure foundation so it is easy to simply bypass 
the whole thing. I have been talking about Microsoft's fundamental errors 
for over 10 years. They have a knack for not doing their homework and 
making bad choices. I don't know how they manage to be so consistent. 
This says a lot about their customers too.
