Search the old drive for all the .PST files.

Every identity had one or two PST files, so find the one with the biggest size and the most recent date, and that's where your messages are.

My old system running XP Home Edition with Outlook Express as the mail handler died, and I now have a Vista Home Premium Machine running Windows Mail. The hard drive from the old machine is fully accessible via an external USB connection.

When I tried to Import messages using the Windows Mail utility, pointing to the directory on the old drive where the outlook.pst file resides, Windows Mail reported not finding any messages. Where are Outlook Express messages and folder info located? Any thoughts for getting access to my old messages would be greatly appreciated.

Alan
