We've been using online auctions since there were online auctions. It was fun when there weren't many people bidding. I've seen people get so much "stuff" because it's a good deal or in the excitement of bidding [then overpaying] that I don't use auctions much any more. I especially avoid anything "collectible". There are so many eBay stores with Buy It Now prices better than ending auction prices, and other sites with great prices.
Sometimes when you lose, it's in your favor, so you don't collect so much more stuff. What's so important to buy that you can't find a deal elsewhere, or don't really need it? Wanna buy my extra stuff on eBay?
