in the past, with 21" CRT's i had problems with 60 hertz and florescent lights(which i presume were also operating at 60hz)
i could see dark horizontal lines moving down the screen. changing to 65-72 hz eliminated the problem. i am running my lcd at 60 hz, and do not have a problem with florescent lights shining on it.
