My Vega retired at 65 [thousand miles] due to a small part that
broke--the cam shaft. Haven't touched a Chevy since, especially since
the "No Va". I sold my 1988 [Japanese] Mazda truck in 2004 to my next
door neighbor when it had 170,000 miles and still ran well. Now we buy
quality American-made cars, putting Americans to work in US factories.
That's why we have two Honda Civics and a Nissan truck.
_*HARD DRIVES*_
Depending on your need to recover data from a crashed hard drive should
determine part of your choice of drives. Costs a fortune to recover data
from WD drives. It's much easier with Hitachi, Toshiba, Seagate. If you
backup regularly and won't need an outside service to recover your data,
it's still a good idea to get the top of the line drive for any good
manufacturer. WD is usually OK, but their manufacturing is outsourced
and not always to specs.
All drives crash eventually. Some sooner. Some later. Save. Backup.
Archive. Now.
