At least price wise, I'll have to side with Tom.

Sure, you can buy an iPod Touch 32gb from Amazon for $450, but that
would be ignoring the seller right above selling them for $359.98

The Apple Store shows the 32gb selling for $399.  

So your statement should say, "Maybe it's because a 32GB touch is
$359.98 while a 120GB Zune or iPod classic is $249?"
