I don't see how it can be called a "renaming" any more than Vista was a
renaming of XP. Vista is still Vista and the next version will have a
different name as always. Where did you read that a "renaming to distance M$
from Vista is in the works"?

I'm not sure I follow this. It will be about 3 years from Vista to Win7,
which doesn't seem like much of an accelerated release to me. For
comparison, XP was released only a year and a half after Windows 2000.
