That is one of the reasons I choose the Latitude series of notebooks for work.
The docks can be had for less than $20 on Ebay, plus you can buy one
that will accept drives. Depends on how much you want to pay.
Plus the laptop locks into the dock.
To Laptop or not is a serious question. For those who travel and
need their computer with them it is good. For simple convenience
sake it can be an expensive experiment.
Laptops are now outselling desktops in many areas. The size of the
screens are making them less than portable.
