I have the same router and while I didn't try and set up the wireless (I disabled it, actually), since I already have a nice wireless AP already, it provided the option to use WPA or WPA2. What exactly is the trouble you are having?
BTW, it seems that WPA/TKIP has been cracked, sorta.
