I bought some wires that connect to power strips in such a way that
the power cubes will connect to them, not to the
strip... This leave space for all...

Only the cheap wall warts are like that. Many are now quite compact and
narrow enough to not block adjacent outlets. Progress!
Maybe one of the gadget freaks on our List will get one of those power
meters as a holiday gift and can tell us how bad their power-sucking wall
warts are.
