>All this sturm and drang over a very minor glitch in a driver for a
>1st gen product, no longer produced, and made by a 3rd party.

Another puff of obscuring smoke: now the Zune is not even an MS product.
It was "really" made by "those other guys." All that stuff we read about
the Zune Development Team was just made up PR fluff. I get it. What do
they say? "Success has a million fathers, failure is an orphan."

I got my WFB Rosetta Stone out now. "Complete bricking of the product" is
"a very minor glitch." "Iran's got the bomb" is "please pass the
sunscreen." And "Armageddon" is "those noisy neighbors are at it again."

The day was particularly auspicious too. One ZuneScene poster noted that
he had spent considerable time creating playlists for a New Years Party.
I'm sure there were many more people who found their work was for naught.
But, I expect too much. I understand that MS is much too grand to bother
with such trivia. We are certainly asking too much expecting that an MP3
player actually play MP3s.
