Instead of railing against Bonjour they may want to learn something about Multicast DNS (Zero Configuration Networking). There is a nice, short writeup at Wikipedia. It can be very useful. With mDNS many network services "just work" for PC users, just like they "just work" for Mac users. Several times people have asked me why some things were so easy to set up on some of their PCs while they could not get them going on other PCs. The answer was that the "easy" computers had mDNS installed when their users "illegally" downloaded iTunes. > I can't think of a witty simile about feet and furniture right now.
