My point was that stereo just doesn't cut it for FPS gaming
these days.
The headphones are cool. But as an audio guy I can tell
you for a fact that unless you are driving the elements in
the transducers out of separate channels of amplification
you will not realize surround sound. There is no way a two
channel feed can be transformed into 5.1 without multiple
feed lines.
That it is possible is true. These headphones appear to be
equpped with multiple feed lines. So the necessary conditions
have been met.
So I think what you've been saying is not bullshit. Now it's
up to Dr. Piwowar to do the research. And admit he was
wrong to not check the hardware out.
Thanks for the information, I think I'll stick with what I've
got since I don't do surround.
But that was very illuminating nevertheless. I rarely play
FPS but I can see where it would be a benefit.
