"Google Puts The Squeeze On Free Apps" http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/01/23/google-puts-the-squeeze-on-free-apps/
Techcrunch reports that Google has, once again, lowered the maximum number of free seats allowed under a corporate Google Apps account (from 200 to 100 to 50). It concludes that Google is trying to herd users of the free service to its paid service. Google responded with a more complicated explanation, but it still looks like herding to me. The report mentions Google's competitors including MS's "expensive" offering and cheaper alternatives. Do any of you lobsters think this kind of reporting is unfair? Is calling MS's offering "expensive" the only part of the report that is unfair? ************************************************************************* ** List info, subscription management, list rules, archives, privacy ** ** policy, calmness, a member map, and more at http://www.cguys.org/ ** *************************************************************************
